For the Peregrini, pilgrimage and wandering were acts of holy dependence upon God and joyful pursuit of knowing Him and celebrating his creation deeply. They embodied a willingness to leave behind relative comfort, certainty, and control in order to trust Him in unfamiliar places and along previously unknown roads.
that same spirit still calls to us today. There remains within the Holy Spirit empowered follower of Jesus a call and a longing to go, to discover, to learn, to wonder, and to encounter both the beauty of God and people within the vastness of His world.
