Day 3Today we rest and get over Jet Lag. We visit the Mediterranean Seaside and walk along the Promenade.
We take a short trip in to walk in the Carmel Street Market to enjoy an easy lunch and some of the sights and sounds of Tel Aviv. We go to Jaffa Port to see the beginning of the Gospel Missionary Story where Peter meets Simon the Tanner and where Jonah boarded the boat for Tarshish. SLEEP: Netanya, Mediterranean Coast |
Day 4Today we visit Caesarea Maritima and see the ancient Roman city built by Herod. The Apostle Paul was imprisoned here before he appealed to Caesar. From there we head up the coast to visit
Mt. Carmel where Elijah called down fire from heaven. We move down into the Jezreel Valley to visit Tel Megiddo and see the raw power it held as it controlled this ancient trade route. On the way to our hotel at the Sea of Galilee we make one more stop to see Nazareth from Mount Precipice. SLEEP: Tiberias, Sea of Galilee |
Day 5 We celebrate fellowship and teaching as we focus on the region that Jesus made his home during his three-year ministry. Today we will travel to the Israeli- Lebanese border to learn about the life of the Kibbutz members at Misgav Am. We will then visit Caesarea Philippi also known as Banias. We travel on to Jesus' ministry town of Capernaum, and will visit the Mount of Beatitudes. We finish with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

Day 6We begin our morning by visiting the 1st Century Synagogue at Magdala. We then depart the Galilee and head towards Jerusalem to visit the significant places there in Jesus' life and ministry.
We drive from the Galilee along the Jordan River for baptisms. We then head up the mountain to see the Judean wilderness, where Jesus was tempted for 40 days, passing Jericho along the way. We enter Jerusalem and walk through the last days of Jesus' ministry. SLEEP: Jerusalem |
Day 7On this day, we trace the events of the final three days of Jesus' life. We venture up into East Jerusalem and onto the Mount of Olives to look over the Old City. We walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane to see the olive press and ancient olive trees nearby, stopping at the Dominus Flevit Church to consider Jesus' heart for the people of Jerusalem.
From there, we walk a short distance into the Old city and begin a walk along the Via Dolorosa that Jesus traversed on His way to the cross. We dart into the courtyard of the Church of St. Anne to see the Pool of Bethesda, and contemplate the healing ministry of Jesus. SLEEP: Jerusalem |
Day 8Today we will be seeing Bethlehem, the birth city of Jesus. It is a short jaunt to Bethlehem from our hotel in Jerusalem.
From there, we will travel to the Valley of Elah to see the area where David fought Goliath. We make the small trek up Tel Azeekah to see the entire area. People can opt to stay in Jerusalem if they would like to have their own free day on this day. SLEEP: Jerusalem |
