Fly from Boise to Rome

Arrive Rome


We arrive in Rome and check into the Monastery that will be our home for our time in Rome - ​Casa per Ferie Santa Maria delle Fornaci.   

This evening our group will enjoy the first of many delectable European style dinners together.

​Day 3
Rome

Discover the heart of ancient Rome on a guided tour through its most iconic sites. Begin at the Colosseum, where gladiators once fought, and learn about its architectural grandeur and historical significance.
Continue to Palatine Hill, the birthplace of Rome, offering breathtaking views and insights into the city’s legendary origins. Explore the Roman Forum, the bustling center of Roman public life, filled with temples, markets, and ancient government buildings.
​Finally, visit the Capitoline Museum, home to a vast collection of Roman art and artifacts, where history comes to life through sculptures, mosaics, and priceless relics from the empire’s glorious past.

Rome


Today we embark on a fascinating tour that uncovers both the spiritual and architectural wonders of Rome.
Begin with the captivating Catacombs, ancient underground burial sites that reveal early Christian history.
Then, visit the grand Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of Rome’s four major basilicas, known for its stunning mosaics and spiritual significance.
Next, stroll through Piazza Navona, a lively square adorned with Baroque fountains and surrounded by vibrant cafés.
​Conclude your day at the Pantheon, an architectural marvel with its massive dome and oculus, where ancient Roman engineering and religious history merge in a timeless monument.

Rome


Experience the artistic and cultural treasures of Rome on a tour that begins at the Vatican Museum, home to one of the world’s most impressive collections of art and history. Marvel at masterpieces by Michelangelo, including the breathtaking ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, where his iconic frescoes narrate biblical stories. Next, visit the Borghese Gallery, nestled in a lush garden, featuring works by Bernini, Caravaggio, and Raphael. Conclude with a leisurely city walk through the heart of Rome, where ancient landmarks, charming streets, and lively piazzas showcase the city’s unique blend of history, art, and modern life.

​Day 6
Travel from Rome to Florence


Begin your day with a scenic bus ride from Rome to Florence, traveling through the beautiful Italian countryside. Upon arrival, check into the peaceful Oblate Monastery, a tranquil retreat offering a glimpse into Florence’s spiritual heritage. After settling in, set out to explore the city, making your way to Piazzale Michelangelo, a famous lookout point offering panoramic views of Florence’s iconic skyline. From this hilltop vantage, take in the breathtaking sights of the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Arno River as the sun sets over the Renaissance city, marking a perfect start to your Florence adventure.

Florence to Cinque Terre

Take an early train from Florence to the five picturesque coastline villages of the Cinque Terre: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. Spend your day exploring the colorful streets, hiking between towns enjoying breathtaking views, and savoring fresh seafood.

Florence

Discover the artistic heart of Italy in Renaissance Florence, where the beauty of the past comes alive at every turn. Visit iconic landmarks like the breathtaking Duomo and the medieval Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Delight in the Uffizi Gallery and Galleria dell'Accademia, home to works by Botticelli and Michelangelo.

Travel Day Florence to London

Learn and Ride the London Underground known as the "Tube".  Attend an Evensong Service in an Anglican Cathedral.

London

Step back in time at the Tower of London and experience the magic of Shakespeare at the Globe Theater. Don’t miss the treasures of the British Museum and the stunning art at the National Gallery.  

This evening we head to London's West End Theatre District to see a production of Les Miserables.

Oxford

Discover the perfect blend of tradition, charm and inspiration in C.S. Lewis’s Oxford, where stunning architecture and rich history come alive in the world’s oldest university. Stroll through the picturesque colleges, the iconic Bodleian Library, the quaint pubs and the Ashmolean Museum.

​Day 12
London

Start your day in London with a visit to the majestic Westminster Abbey, where centuries of British history unfold through stunning Gothic architecture and royal tombs. Just a short walk away, marvel at the grandeur of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, iconic symbols of British governance. From there, head to Buckingham Palace to witness the Changing of the Guard, and take in the royal residence’s splendor. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time for shopping, exploring the fashionable streets of Oxford Circus or browsing unique boutiques in Covent Garden, soaking in the vibrant energy of the city.

Fly Back to the USA

Today we awake to take our Airport Transfer from the Hotel to London's Heathrow Airport for flights home to Boise.
