Walking Guide
We recommend trip members prepare by walking
1 - 3 miles per day for the 30 days before the trip.
Walking during the trip
This trip will offer selected walks along the ancient pilgrim path of Saint James.
Participants can walk every curated portion, walk some days but not others,
or skip any walking segments altogether. The option to ride in the accompanying
bus always will be available during our journey.
Walking segments during this trip will be between 2 and 4 hours (1-5 miles) long.
Walking may include trails with loose dirt, rocks, sand, numerous stone stairs
of variable height, and sections with steep ascents and descents.
However, elevation gain or loss is minimal on this trip.
